Magnolia Bakery's Devil's Food Cupcake with Chocolate Buttercream ***

I made these cupcakes tonight for dessert tomorrow. This recipe is a little more complicated than the vanilla cupcakes I made from this cookbook. The batter yielded much more cupcakes than I expected so I ended up making a 9" sponge as well as 24 cupcakes. I whipped up the chocolate buttercream to top these delicate cakes. The flavor is very chocolatey and the cake very delicate. Not to bad for a first try :)
