California Style Turkey Bacon BLT ***

There's nothing like a great sandwich. And the simple BLT is great. Such simple ingredients but such a satisfying taste. Here, I lightened it up by using low-fat wheat bread (30 calories a slice), non-fat mayonnaise, and added some avocado for a California flair.

Ingredients:
(per sandwich)
2 slices toasted low-fat bread
2 slices crisp turkey bacon
2 slices ripe tomato
2 slices good lettuce (I used Boston lettuce here)
3 slices ripe low-fat avocado (I found these next to the regular avocado. They're about double the size and said they were lower in fat.)
1 teaspoon fat-free mayonnaise
salt and pepper

Directions:
1. DRESS each slice of bread with the mayonnaise.

2. ON ONE SLICE, place the lettuce. Break the bacon slices in half and arrange them on top of the lettuce. Place the avocado slices on top of the bacon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place the tomato slices on top the avocado slices. Top off with the other slice of bread. Slice diagonally.
